Hi, I'm Giuliane Sampaio (or just 'Giu', she/ her), the person behind Cabe Letra Aqui (Letters Fit Here).
Based in Porto🇵🇹 since 2018, I am a freelance🇧🇷 designer and letter artist by passion. In total, I bring nearly ten years of professional experience, developed between Brazil and Portugal. Moving between manual and digital, I work across a broad visual repertoire, with the aim of revealing authenticity and strengthening perceived vaIue of each brand or project.
I hold degrees in Advertising (2010) and Graphic Design (2016), and I'm currently pursuing a Master's Degree in ︎Graphic Design and Editorial Projects, at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto. My journey into the world of typography began in 2014, the same year I joined the Brazilian collective ︎Tipografeed, with which I was actively involved for four years (2014–2018). Since then, letters have remained at the heart of my professional practice, as both art and craft. Complementary trainings also renewed my skills, and consequently, contact with other professionals who foster the typographic community. I also organise meetings for the ︎'Dar à Letra' project, open to the community (beginners or professionals), which promotes the art of writing and drawing letters.
In my work, letter art stands out as a distinctive graphic resource in the projects I create, whether in corporate context (Identity, Brand Activation, Editorial Design) or in artistic interventions.
